Virtualbox, c'est vraiment une daube par rapport à VM player. Ça bouffe plus de ressources et se révèle quand même bien moins stable. J'ai un petit soft qui s'appelle Andy pour émuler une tablette Androïd sur mon pc. Avant, ils tournait sur Virtualbox. Aujourd'hui, c'est sur VM Player. La différence? Plus de plantages, plus obligé de redémarrer la vm quand la souris "plante", 2 fois moins de ressources CPU pour faire tourner la vm (qui n'a pas changé), etc.
Bref, VMWare powaa!

Donc tu te bases sur ton expérience avec un OS pour dire que VirtualBox pue le caca ? Ca c'est de l'objectivité, bravo :classe2:
C'est très bien VMWare Player, cependant ce n'est pas aussi complet que VirtualBox (genre les snapshots c'est juste indispensable pour de la VM de test).
Les seules fois ou j'ai noté des problèmes de perfs sous VirtualBox, c'est avec Windows 9x. Sinon RAS pour tous les Linux/Unix/Windows que j'ai pu tester.
Bref, un soft gratuit de cette qualité, moi j'en redemande. En plus pour une fois qu'Oracle ne torpille pas ce qu'il rachète ...

Sur le poste d'un collègue c'est l'inverse. Il utilisait VM Player pour virtualiser un Windows, c'était lent et ça ralentissait même sa machine hôte. Je lui ai fait essayer VirtualBox, sa machine a retrouvé toute sa vitesse et sa VM est également beaucoup plus rapide.

Perso j'utilise VirtualBox depuis près de 8 ans, et j'adore ce soft. Le jour où j'ai testé VM Player, j'ai trouvé ça pourri et très pauvre au niveau des options.

Tiens, l'un d'entre vous a-t-il testé Win10 virtualisé dans un hôte Linux (avec Virtualbox) (en x64 pour les 2 os) ?
Ca donne quoi?

J'ai eu à travailler sur des VM VB hébergeant du Linux et du Windows 2003, 2008. Les problèmes étaient nombreux, les plantages fréquents (pas de l'hôte, de la VM), et la conversion vers VMware a été salutaire. Les snapshots, y'en a dans vmware, mais dans la version payante, c'est vrai.
